Becoming Fractured

This vessel emerges as both form and fissure, holding within its surface the story of fire, earth, and transformation. Its body, dark and unevenly rounded, carries a skin of fractured glaze—deep reds, muted golds, and shadowed blacks—split apart like parched earth or ancient stone.

The cracks are not weaknesses but veins of truth, revealing the raw clay beneath and reminding us of impermanence, resilience, and repair. The uneven rim heightens this sense of vulnerability, as if the vessel itself has survived a passage through time.

In its fractured surface, there is a quiet dialogue between beauty and imperfection, between containment and collapse.
