Shelter is a meditation on feminine archetypes, survival, and the primal need for refuge. Formed from clay but crafted to resemble timeless stone, the figure evokes the enduring materials of ancient human history. This intentional illusion connects the sculpture to the deep lineage of human survival and resilience.
The figure is purposefully abstracted, embodying an archetypal feminine form. Her presence is silent yet powerful — grounded, anonymous, and eternal. At her core is a hollowed cavity: a cave, a womb. This void is both a place of shelter and of origin — a sacred interior space where safety, gestation, and rebirth coexist.
