Scarred
Ceramic Sculpture
Emergence Collection
A play on words and form, Scarred embodies duality—both the exposed face of a rock formation, shaped by time and force, and the lingering trace of a past wound.
This abstract stone figure, distinctly feminine, grounded and enduring, cradles a hollowed cavity: part cave, part womb—a void that holds multiple meanings: a place of refuge, a cradle of life, and a silent witness to pain. She is at once mother, shelter, and creator; a vessel shaped by the pressures of time and the world's shifting, often destructive forces. She bares the weight of a world in flux, absorbing its fractures while remaining a sanctuary of resilience.
